The Tennessee Titans have been doing their homework on several 2020 NFL Draft prospects over the past few months, but only a select few of the players they have met with are worthy of a first-round pick.
Here’s a list of the prospects that general manager Jon Robinson and the Titans have met with that could be the team’s first-round pick if it doesn’t trade out of the No. 29 overall spot.

Marlon Davidson | DL | Auburn
Tennessee met with Davidson over FaceTime, which makes sense considering he’s an ideal fit for what the team is looking for.
Not only did can Davidson play as a stand up outside linebacker like he did at Auburn, but the 6-foot-3, 303-pound lineman could also fill the role that Jurrell Casey played last season along the defensive line. In fact, he’s much more likely to play the latter role at the next level.
For such a big man, Davidson is a freak athlete and his versatility only adds to his value.

Kristian Fulton | CB | LSU
Fulton was one of many cornerbacks the Titans met with at the NFL Combine back in February. A lot of mocks have Fulton going in the top 25, so there’s a chance he never makes it to the Titans at No. 29.
The Titans are looking at the possibility of having quite a bit of turnover in their secondary in the next few years, so adding at least one cornerback in the draft should be a high priority.
The 6-foot, 197-pound corner still needs time to develop into a starter, but he has all the tools to be a successful outside corner for years to come.

Jeff Gladney | CB | TCU
The Titans have actually met with Gladney on at least two occasions, one of which was at the NFL Combine, and the other was a virtual meeting, per Draft Wire’s Justin Melo.
Gladney has been linked to the Titans in numerous mock drafts and is the trendy pick among a lot of fans and analysts close to the team who want to see it take a cornerback in the first round.
The only concern with Gladney at the moment is that he had offseason surgery to repair a torn labrum. Still, that shouldn’t deter the Titans from taking him if he’s still available at No. 29 overall.
The 5-foot-10, 191-pound corner has shown he can be great both in coverage and against the run. He has the speed to hang with faster receivers and should transition from high-end depth in 2020 to a full-blown starter in 2021.

Josh Jones | OT | Houston
Jones and the Titans met face-to-face at the NFL Combine in February. Since then, we’ve seen him mocked to the Titans on several occasions, and most experts have pegged him as a late Day 1, early Day 2 pick.
Although he’s still raw, Jones shows the kind of power and athleticism that could make him a perfect fit in the Titans’ zone-blocking scheme. With Dennis Kelly already installed as the starter at right tackle, the Titans can take their time developing the Houston product.

Austin Jackson | OT | USC
Like Jones, Jackson also met with the Titans during the NFL Combine and has been mocked to the team by numerous draft experts. He projects as a late Day 1, early Day 2 pick. It’s even possible that the Titans can trade back from No. 29 and still land Jackson.
Developing the 6-foot-5, 322-pound lineman’s fundamentals will be important for the Titans should they choose him with their first pick. However, his overall athleticism is impressive for such a big man and it’s why he fits well in the zone-blocking scheme.
