Prospect Preview: Utah Utes to watch for in the 2020 NFL Draft

Utah will be taking on BYU tonight at 10 p.m. on ESPN. The Utes are the favorites to win the Pac-12 South Division, but they start the season off with a bang against a tough in-state opponent.

There is a ton of talent on this Utes roster and this will be a great opportunity to evaluate what these guys can do early.

Zack Moss, RB, 5-10, 215 pounds, Sr.

There were a few questions surrounding Moss’ availability for the season opener as he has been dealing with an injury during training camp, but the All-PAC-12 performer has been announced good to go. Moss would have been an early-round selection had he come out after a spectacular junior campaign, but he decided to come back and attempt to raise his already high draft stock. Moss is arguably the best senior running back in this class and dominating BYU will be a good start to the 2019 season.

Jaylon Johnson, CB, 6-0, 190 pounds, Jr.

Johnson has been mocked in the first and second rounds of most recent mock drafts being published and that makes sense considering he has dominated the PAC-12 on his way to earning all-conference honors. Johnson is an elite corner, but he is also a fantastic athlete that will run impressive track speeds at the combine. He will definitely be a draft riser if he declares.

Tyler Huntley, QB, 6-1, 200 pounds, Sr.

It is amazing how underrated Huntley is, but he is a quality starter and oozes leadership qualities. Huntley had to fight for the starting gig this season after he missed the last five games of 2018 due to a collarbone injury. It was a three-man battle in camp, but Huntley came out on top and everyone is rooting for a redemption story with a happy ending for Huntley.

Others on the Senior Bowl Watch List

Bradlee Anae, DE, 6-3, 263 pounds, Sr.

Francis Bernard, LB, 6-0, 242 pounds, Sr.

Julian Blackmon, S, 6-1, 190 pounds, Sr.

Leki Fotu, DT, 6-5, 327 pounds, Sr.

Darrin Paulo, OT, 6-5, 318 pounds, Sr.
