Prosecutors Turn Trump's Words Against Him In Courtroom

Trump shares poll showing voters associate potential second term with "revenge"

During today's legal proceedings, it was revealed that former President Donald Trump had to endure the discomfort of hearing prosecutors use his own words against him. The prosecutors referenced Trump's social media posts targeting Michael Cohen and the infamous Access Hollywood tape from his time in the White House.

This evidence highlights the personal discomfort Trump may face throughout the trial, as he is unable to simply attack and walk away as he has done in the past. The trial is expected to be challenging for Trump, as his own words are being used as evidence against him.

Although Judge Juan Merchan ruled against playing the Access Hollywood tape in court, prosecutors are allowed to introduce Trump's exact words from the tape and an email related to it. This decision ensures that the jury will be presented with crucial information without directly hearing the recording.
