Prosecutors indict 'Manager Online' duo

Prosecutors indicted two executives of Manager Online in the Pattani Court Monday on charges of spreading false information about the army.

The charges stemmed from an online news report published on Feb 5 about alleged brutality committed by the military against a criminal suspect detained at an army base in the deep South.

The two executives were given bail of 50,000 baht each. The legal action was brought against them by the 4th Army Region through the Internal Security Operations Command on Feb 9.

The executives had earlier appealed for justice from prosecutors. The 4th Army Region has demanded an unspecified amount in compensation.
