Prosecutors and Donald Trump's lawyers have initiated the process of utilizing their preemptive strikes in the ongoing legal proceedings. Each side has been allocated 10 strikes that they can exercise to remove potential jurors from the selection process.
The prosecutors have declared that they will refrain from using any strikes against the initial 12 jurors seated in the box. On the other hand, Trump's attorney has raised concerns regarding the social media activity of certain jurors, alleging that their posts contradict the responses provided by the jurors.
Currently, the attorney is making efforts to have the first juror dismissed for cause. If successful, this dismissal would eliminate the need for the defense team to utilize one of its 10 strikes.
