Prosecutor god rolls and how to get them in Destiny 2 Rite of the Nine

The last dungeon for the Rite of the Nine event in Destiny 2, Prophecy, is live. It brings reprised versions of four dungeon weapons with new perk pools, Origin Traits, and Adept variants. One of the weapons that you should get, especially if you love running Arc builds, is Prosecutor.

Prosecutor is a 450 RPM Arc auto rifle, and unlike Shadow Price, it actually has a decent perk selection. Whether you need jolt, AoE, or Bolt Charge, this weapon has it all. The perks haven’t changed much since the weapon’s last reprisal in Season of the Wish, but there are a couple of new additions that are worth keeping in mind.

Here are our PvE and PvP god rolls for the Prosecutor in Destiny 2.

What is the Prosecutor god roll in Destiny 2?

Prosecutor PvE god roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Light Mag
  • Perk one: Dragonfly or Eddy Current
  • Perk two: Rolling Storm or Voltshot
  • Masterwork: Reload Speed

Prosecutor PvP god roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
  • Perk one: Keep Away or Zen Moment
  • Perk two: Target Lock
  • Masterwork: Range

For PvE, there are two distinct combinations to go for. One is Dragonfly with Rolling Storm. Dragonfly creates elemental explosions on precision kills, and Rolling Storm grants stacks of Bolt Charge, allowing you to clear adds and take advantage of powerful lightning strikes. The second combination is Eddy Current with Voltshot. Eddy Current increases reload speed after sprinting or while amplified, which synergizes with the constant need to reload your weapon to proc Voltshot.

Depending on your playstyle, you can mix and match the perks above. As you farm Prosecutor, look out for perks like Subsistence, Onslaught, and Paracausal Affinity. They may not provide as many benefits as other perks, but they are still solid options.

On the PvP side of things, the Prosecutor is decent—no more, no less. 450 RPM auto rifles aren’t on the top of the meta, but they’re comfortable to use, and the old version of the Prosecutor has always been very consistent, on par with Ammit AR2.

The best roll is the same as it was before. Keep Away in the third column grants range, reload speed, and accuracy when no enemies are within 15 meters. Zen Moment is a decent alternative for reduced recoil and flinch. You can pair either of the two with Target Lock. Target Lock increases the damage the longer you stay on target, and while it doesn’t reduce overall time-to-kill, it makes the weapon more forgiving when landing precision hits versus body shots.

While the old Prosecutor is always available from the regular Prophecy dungeon, the reprised version is only available during the Rite of the Nine event. Launch the dungeon from the dedicated node in Eternity on any difficulty (Explorer, Eternity, or Ultimatum) and complete encounters for weapon drops.

The Rite of the Nine weapons come in four variants: base, shiny base, Adept, and shiny Adept. Shiny versions come with a holofoil and double perks in both columns. At the same time, Adept weapons only drop from the Ultimatum difficulty dungeons.

Here are a few things to know to get more loot during Rite of the Nine:

  • Pick up the weapon quests from The Emissary for additional shiny copies.
  • Redeem Nonary Manifolds at The Emissary for additional weapons (or save them until the end of the event, as there will be a new way to spend them during the last week).
  • On weeks starting June 10, July 1, and July 8, Rite of the Nine’s Prophecy will have increased weapon drops.
