Prosecutor Disputes Defense's Claim Of New Evidence In Trump Case

Former U.S. President Trump attends a hearing on a criminal case linked to a hush money payment, in New York City

During a recent court hearing, Prosecutor Susan Hoffinger disputed the defense's claim that the case involved an entirely new story. Hoffinger emphasized that the defendant was attempting to conceal a payoff that occurred in 2016 before the election.

In response to Hoffinger's statement, Trump attorney Todd Blanche argued that the key issue was the admissibility of the evidence presented to Keith Davidson and Michael Cohen. Blanche suggested that the information was crucial for evaluating whether to enter into a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and for keeping certain facts hidden from the public during the 2016 election.
