Moving house is up there with one of the most exciting times of your life and after the money side of things gets the green light, it's all systems go.
Your first few nights in the new property are ones you will remember, and laugh about years down the line.
Maybe it is eating takeaway on the floor with plastic cutlery while you await your furniture delivery or sleeping in a room with no curtains - it's all an experience.
But some new homeowners were given a few unwanted extras in their properties, PropertyPal has revealed.
Sharing seven weird things they've been told about, the housing experts had some interesting responses...
1. A dead seagull in a bin
2. Boxes of X-rated material in the attic - they say this is very common
3. A wedding dress
4. A pet cat that refused to move with the previous owners
5. A blanket nailed to a wall in the attic for no apparent reason
6. A car
7. Previous owners randomly turning up, getting things out of the shed and even letting themselves into the house
And below their post, Property Pal fans shared what they were greeted with when moving house.
One woman said: "I found a dead trout inside the lining of the water boiler in the hot press."
And another said: "[I found] a steak knife down the back of the toilet and a pair of scissors in the boiler."
