Property lettings firm launches sales arm as housing market boom continues

A growing property lettings firm is preparing to launch a sales arm as the UK's housing market boom continues.

Twenty five-year-old property magnate Alistair Trippett launched Habitans two years ago after spotting a gap in the market for a ‘personable and supportive’ lettings experience.

Now the Newcastle-under-Lyme company is moving into sales next month.

Alistair – who recently appeared in a webinar with Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng – said: “After seven years of property development and management experience, and following the success Habitans in the last two years, we felt that the time was right to launch a sales element to the business.

“We responded to landlord and developer needs and their requests for Habitans to provide a full-service in order for them to manage their property portfolios in a profitable and compliant way.

“Now we want to bring the same high quality service to homeowners.”

Alistair added: “We have really given thought to why landlords and vendors are increasingly dissatisfied with their agents and we identified two major issues – the first cause of concern was communication, and the second was lack of transparency. “We have taken both of these challenges and ensure they are at the front and centre of our services to clients.

“We pride ourselves on our expertise and ‘real life’ experience in the property sector.”

Young entrepreneur Alistair started on the property ladder when he was just 18 following a battle with bone cancer.

Over the years, and with the support of his family, he has built up an impressive portfolio of properties – including a block of 24 flats in Stoke-on-Trent.

Alistair said: “I am really looking forward to venturing into the sales market to see how we can approach vendors and buyers differently, and address the challenges they may have found previously when selling or buying their home.”
