Property investor boosts income by £644,000 a year

A Glasgow-based property investment fund has secured a series of lettings to boost its income by more than £644,000 a year.

Regional REIT, which has a £721 million portfolio of office and industrial property assets, said the rental achieved on the lettings deals was 19% ahead of expected.

The lettings include an industrial unit in Basildon, an office site in Lincoln, and the first floor of a property in Birmingham. A national charity has also renewed its lease of a unit at a business park in  Welwyn Garden City.

Stephen Inglis, chief executive of Glasgow-based London & Scottish Property Investment Management which manages the trust’s assets, said: "The continuing strength of successful letting activity across our national portfolio is a testament to the value added by our bespoke asset management strategies.

“The diversity of income continues to grow as we expand our asset base and further enhance the quality and quantity of our rental and expand our tenant base.”
