Planning permission for an €82m, 245 new home development in Dublin has been given the green light.
Developer Quintain Ireland has been given the go-ahead to build the new houses on the 20 acre grounds of Tandy's Lane in Lucan beginning at the end of the year.
All going well, the first homes will be fresh on the market by mid-2021.
The exciting development includes 213 houses, 16 duplexes and 15 apartments which breaks down as the following:
- 45 four-bedroom houses
- 169 three-bedroom houses
- 8 three-bedroom duplexes
- 8 two-bedroom duplexes
- 2 one-bedroom apartments
- 13 two-bedroom apartments
The development is being described as perfect for people who are looking at houses for "lifetime living".
Tandy’s Lane Village is already close to another Quintain project where the first phase is complete.
Both developments are near the amenities of Lucan town centre, as well as transport links offered by the M4 and N4 and Adamstown rail station.
The main standout feature of the new neighbourhood is the crescent of houses facing the attractive Serpentine Park which connects to the bigger Village Park, ensuring the development contains meaningful open spaces.
Michael Hynes, Joint Managing Partner of Quintain Ireland, said: "We are delighted to be making further progress on our residential pipeline in the Lucan area with this planning approval for Tandy’s Lane Village. These 245 homes will form part of a growing community with access to green space and school facilities, and the wider amenities of Lucan on the doorstep with easy access to Dublin city centre."
He added: "These homes will be completed to the high building standards and leading environmental specifications that Quintain guarantees to its buyers. They represent the latest stage in Quintain’s plans to deliver 9,000 homes across four sites in the Greater Dublin area."
