BHOPAL: Two persons, including a woman, were deliberately crushed to death under a tractor following a property dispute in Hoshangabad district on Tuesday afternoon. The incident took place at Bhargada village under Kesla police station.
The deceased have been identified as Shriram Yadav, (70) and the wife of his younger brother, Bhagwati Yadav, (45).
Kesla police said that there was a dispute related to property between the deceased Shriram and one of the accused, identified as Dinesh Yadav. Sources said that the court of divisional commissioner had recently given an order in favour of Shriram.
However, accused Dinesh visited the disputed plot with his tractor. He was accompanied by three other men. After getting information, Shriram along with Bhagwati and other family members also rushed to the spot.
The dispute took an ugly turn when Dinesh along with other accomplices mowed down Shriram and Bhagwati under his tractor, said sources.
Kesla police station incharge Kailash Panse said that a case has been registered against relevant sections and accused Dinesh and three others have been held and are being interrogated.
