"Proper bitta beef that": Fans praise Strictly Come Dancing star Kelvin Fletcher's body transformation

His 'snake hips' were the talk of last week's Strictly Come Dancing - and Kelvin Fletcher's buff physique is also winning him praise.

The former Emmerdale star has been into his training for a long time, but last summer the 35-year-old father-of-two embarked on a training programme with incredible results.

"I’m starting a 12 week plan to get in the best shape I’ve ever been in," he told his followers on Instagram.

"I've always been into training but my diet has never been great."

Kelvin, who is partnered with Oti Mabuse on Strictly , revealed that he was using a mix of CrossFit and weight training, and he emerged at the end of the 12 week plan looking impressively 'beefy.'

He cheekily captioned a topless photo of himself “@Marvel I’m ready when you are”, in reference to the comic book film franchise.'

And fans immediately rushed to praise his 'savage' new look.

"Dude Superman is the role for you," said one.

"Beefy," said another.

"Proper bitta beef that," tweeted another fan.

Alongside acting Kelvin, who started drama classes at Oldham Theatre Workshop, is also a professional racing driver racing in the British GT Championship.

He played Andy Sugden in Emmerdale from 1996 to 2016 and was involved in some of the ITV soap's biggest storylines, winning Best Actor and Best Dramatic Performance at the British Soap Awards.

Kelvin married his long-time girlfriend Eliza Marsland in 2015, and they welcomed daughter Marnie in August 2016 and a son Milo last December.

Earlier this year he joined the line-up of ITV's The All New Monty: Who Bares Wins to raise awareness of cancer following on from the success of last year's The Real Full Monty.

The BAFTA-nominated programme sees Diversity star and Dancing On Ice judge Ashley Banjo and Pointless host Alexander Armstrong persuade celebrities to strip naked on stage.
