Proof that Real Madrid are finally getting the Chelsea Eden Hazard after £89m summer transfer

It's taken a while, but Eden Hazard is showing signs of hitting top form at Real Madrid.

The Belgium international said goodbye to Chelsea in the summer transfer window as he completed an £89m move - which could rise to as much as £150m - after leading the club back into the Champions League.

Although, things haven't gone smoothly for the 28-year-old.

An hamstring injury kept him out of action until after the first international break of the season, but upon his return was criticised for some of his early performances under Zinedine Zidane.

The 3-0 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in September was a particular low point.

But there are signs that Los Blancos fans will soon get to see the Hazard who was outstanding for the west London outfit for seven years.

As pointed out by Opta following the 3-1 win over Real Sociedad at the weekend, Hazard broke a record at Real Madrid which had stood for a decade.

He completed 10 dribbles at the Santiago Bernabeu as Zidane's side came from behind to seal victory thanks to goals from Karim Benzema, Federico Valverde and ex-Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric.

In completing 10 dribbles, Hazard has become the first Madrid player to do so in a La Liga match since Arjen Robben - another former Blues winger - did so against Villarreal in January 2009.

Dribbling past players with relative ease was a hallmark of Hazard's time at Stamford Bridge.

The fact that he's matched the record within his first six months at Real Madrid is an encouraging sign that he will soon be back to his very best.

What's next for the Belgian is to improve his goal involvement.

In eight La Liga appearances he's scored once and weighed in with one assist, while he created Benzema's winner in a recent Champions League outing away at Galatasaray.
