Jorginho is certainly enjoying a much better second season at Chelsea.
The midfielder was Maurizio Sarri's first signing following his appointment in the summer of 2018 and was a regular in the team which secured a top-three finish in the Premier League and triumphed over Arsenal in the Europa League final.
However, for much of his debut season in England, the Italy international was criticised for his performances and wasn't much of a favourite among a large number of supporters.
But it's all change now.
Some fans called for Jorginho to named as club captain instead of Cesar Azpilicueta but were equally as delighted when head coach Frank Lampard named him as the Spaniard's understudy.
This transformation is down to improved performances on the pitch.
And there's some statistics which back this up.

As seen in the image below, Jorginho leads the aforementioned duo in all but one area which are important for defensive midfielders.
In addition, the Blues star is having a greater impact further up the pitch with more big chances created and more accurate passes in the final third.
Lampard, who can take some credit for Jorginho's transformation, has been full of praise for his new vice-captain all season.
"He's just a fantastic sportsman who cares deeply," Lampard said. "When you have a training session that might fall below standard or drop for a moment, he's the one who drives it up again."
