Promotions at Pegasus and more property appointment news

Planning, design and development consultancy Pegasus Group has made a trio of promotions in its Birmingham office.

James Atkin and James Walch have been promoted to senior director environment and senior director design respectively.

Mr Atkin is a chartered landscape architect who, prior to joining Pegasus in 2013, worked nationally and internationally on major infrastructure projects in fields such as highways, rail, mineral extraction and waste.

He continues to specialise in strategic landscape planning and provides expert witness services and can advise on all aspects of development and positive approaches to mitigation.

Mr Walch has a background in urban design and architecture and is experienced in large-scale masterplanning and residential design.

He also guides clients through technical design, tender and managing a project through construction on site.

Also promoted to director level is environmental specialist Katie Machin. These promotions are part of a wider announcement by the group of new roles for staff elsewhere in the UK.

Group chief executive Jim Tarzey said: "I am delighted to welcome the new year by announcing so many promotions across the group.

"2021 proved another extraordinary year in light of covid but we not only adapted to changed working conditions but continued to grow the business.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the whole team for their continued hard work and dedication."

In other property appointment news, Solihull housebuilder Hayfield has recruited Rosie Dakeyne as a senior land manager to target new developments across the West Midlands, Warwickshire and the M40 corridor.

She brings nine years of industry experience to the role following spells with Countryside Properties, Montreaux and Strutt & Parker.

She has expertise in assessing a site's feasibility for development, compiling bids, negotiating deals and guiding purchases through the legal process.

Birmingham-based sales and letting agency Centrick has boosted its team with the appointment of Luke Dennis as land manager.

He has more than a decade of experience working in the property industry, having most recently held the position of new homes area manager at Shipways.

Principle Estate Management has welcomed back one its customer services team members from maternity leave with a promotion.

Rebecca Gibson joined the Birmingham agency in September 2019, working on compliance, client reporting and business integration.

She has now become client services manager, still focussing on compliance and client reporting but also overseeing a nine-strong customer services team, responsible for their performance and strategic planning.

Godwin Developments has appointed Emma Webster to the position of associate director of partnerships to lead the company's affordable housing expansion plans nationwide.

She has ten years of experience in delivering homes for general needs and specialist housing including extra care and women's refuge and will focus on developing Godwin's long-term strategic relationships with registered providers to expedite the delivery of new apartments and houses.

She will be based at the company's Birmingham head office, working closely with associate director Tom Smallbone and development manager Claudine Tracey.

Law firm Roythornes Solicitors has boosted its real estate team in Birmingham with the appointment of social housing solicitor Daniel Skinner as partner.

He qualified 25 years ago and has since built up a strong reputation for acting for social landlords across the country, working on litigation, policy and governance.

Mr Skinner will strengthen the litigation team and advise on housing management matters including anti-social behaviour and regulatory issues.

Black Country property group LCP has recruited Ben Chislett as UK head of retail.

He has joined the Kingswinford-based investor and property manager from real estate agency Savills where he was retail director for nine years.

Mr Chislett is a specialist in national retail agency and also previously worked as a director at CBRE and his move comes as the company plans to acquire more retail assets, having invested more than £270 million in 2021.
