'Promising' - Nottingham Forest fans deliver their verdict after Steve Cooper's first game in charge

Nottingham Forest fans are quietly optimistic after a second-half Max Lowe equaliser saw them earn a point at home to Millwall this afternoon (September 25).

Forest 's second-half display was much better than what they produced in the first, according to many fans, with it taking the Forest faithful just 16 minutes to sing head coach Steve Cooper's name.

It is a solid point for Forest to build on as they prepare for a trip to Barnsley on Wednesday night.

Here is what some Forest fans had to say on Twitter this afternoon:

@IanPidgeon3 : We have something to build on! There's potential there

@MrSmithInNotts : Phew. Could have been better, could have been a whole lot worse. Two massive pieces of luck but we deserved a point

@1BarryBazza : That first half was horrific. Second half better. Love Spence

@samevansnffc : Not a fan of us taking our time in the dying minutes when it’s 1-1 at home BUT - a step in the right direction. You Reds.

@LoyalRed21 : Cooper’s first game after being in the job only a matter of days and some people are actually whinging and saying it’s a rubbish point. Some of our fans are absolutely delusional. It’ll take time to adapt to different ideas and a different way of playing

@DanW_____ : That was worth the trip. Great atmosphere. Promising signs.

@95Redss : Nice to see some fight from #NFFC and a manager who shows a bit of passion on the touch line. Speaks volumes that it took fans 16 minutes to chant Coopers name. Onto the next one.
