Project Motor Racing took the spotlight with a trailer at Gamescom showcasing the real-world Le Mans winning Audi R8 and a string of major announcements.
Publisher GIANTS Software and developer Straight4 Studios confirmed Porsche and Ford for the lineup, along with other headline cars, iconic tracks and legendary racing classes. The game is set to launch on November 25 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Porsche makes its official debut on the grid, bringing a lineup that spans decades of motorsport history. Players can get behind championship-winning machines like the 2023 Porsche 963, the pioneering 1970 917K and other celebrated models including the 911 GT3 R (992), 911 GT1-98 and 962C. The roster also includes new additions from Aston Martin and Ford, like the 2025 Valkyrie Hypercar, AMR Vantage GT3 and the 2024 Mustang GT4.
Two of sports car racing’s most iconic eras are also confirmed: GT1 and Group C. GT1 captures the intensity of ’90s supercar racing, while Group C reflects the golden age of prototype endurance competition. Combined with previously announced categories, Project Motor Racing now features nine racing classes spanning half a century of motorsport with more still to be announced.
The track list grows as well, adding scanned versions of Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, the Nürburgring Nordschleife and Mount Panorama at Bathurst. At launch the game will offer 28 layouts across 18 global locations. Driving realism gets a boost through “True2Track” technology, which delivers dynamic weather, adaptive racing lines with authentic drying and drainage behavior and a 24-hour day/night cycle synced to real-world conditions.
