Prohibitory orders in Noida extended till April 30

NOIDA: The Gautam Budh Nagar police have extended prohibitory orders imposed in the district under Section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) till April 30.

The move comes in view of the festive season as well as the legislative council election.

Ashutosh Dwivedi, additional DCP (law and order), said, “The order will be effective from April 1 to 30, 2022. In addition to the festivals — Navratri, Hanuman Jayanti, Ramazan and Eid — in the month of April, Uttar Pradesh board examinations are also underway, till April 12.”

The dates of the General Legislative Council election in the state have been declared by the Election Commission, and voting will take place on April 9 and counting on April 12, according to the order.
