Progressive Dave Cormack in no holds barred Aberdeen Q&A as other chairmen fall silent

Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack has promised a no holds barred Q&A with fans as he seeks to engage at a time of crisis for Scottish football.

The coronavirus pandemic has seen stadiums lie empty across Scotland all season, with supporters only allowed in for limited test events.

Premiership clubs can seek loans from the Scottish Government to help them through the crisis as the lack of matchday income bites.

At Pittodrie there's also the question of the manager, with Derek McInnes coming under fire from a section of the support in recent weeks.

The Dons have affirmed their support for the 49-year-old despite a recent run of poor results.

At a time when various club hierarchies have been uncommunicative when it comes to matters on and off the pitch, Cormack is looking to buck the trend.

The chairman has extended an open invitation for questions on any matter, with a Q&A to be held on February 16.

No query will be off limits as the Pittodrie chief gets set to answer questions on McInnes and more.

An Aberdeen statement assured: "Our Chairman, Dave Cormack will answer the burning questions you have at this challenging time for the club and Scottish football.

"The session, which will be hosted by Rob Maclean, will be available to view LIVE on the Aberdeen FC YouTube channel with a view to reaching as many Dons fans as possible, underlining our commitment to transparency and supporter engagement.

"No question will be off limits and topics are expected to vary from the ongoing impact of COVID-19, plans for 21/22 on and off the pitch, the new stadium and, of course, our football performance and strategy."
