Professor Green feared he'd catch thrush from a chicken while filming new TV show

Rapper Professor Green , 35, has admitted he was terrified he was going to catch thrush from a chicken during filming of new TV show My Famous Babysitter.

The musician, real name Stephen Manderson, takes full parental responsibility for a family of three children, providing an insight into the challenges of 21st century family life.

The music star, who , admitted he was totally shocked to be living on a Cotswold farm for a week.

He said: "I had to worm sheep, which obviously doesn’t happen on a council estate in Hackney."

He said: “We had to get the eggs out of the hen house and I didn’t have a bloody clue."

He admitted he was terrified when an incident occured with one of the poorly farm animals.

He said: "One of the chicken had thrush. I was like: ‘Get me out of here’

"I didn’t know chickens could get thrust, I didn’t want chicken thrush."

Professor Green, who is one of a group of celebrities who have signed up for the show My Famous Babysitter, recently revealed he believes his own childhood struggles will help him parent his own children someday.

Viewers will watch the rapper adapt to life raising James, 17, Alex, 15, and William, 12.

In a recent interview, Pro Green opened up about the children he looked after during the show.

The middle child, Alex, had Down's Syndrome and Professor Green confessed he had to learn about it "very quickly" to communicate with him.

The Read All About It hitmaker's appearance on the show comes after he told Mirror Online about being raised by his great-grandmother until the age of 13.

He said it was his grandmother who took him and his mum in when they needed somewhere to live and helped raise him.

My Famous Babysitter airs tonight on W at 10pm.
