Professor Green has been forced to cancel his upcoming UK tour after he fractured his neck in a fall.

Hours before he was set to take the stage for his first show in Cardiff, the rapper suffered a seizure - which led him to fall and fracture vertebrae in his neck.

The British rapper, whose real name is Stephen Manderson, shared the news on Instagram alongside photos of himself strapped to a stretcher and wearing a neck brace.

“Depending on how you look at this fall I was extremely lucky,” the Photographs singer wrote. “I’ll be back in the winter with a bigger tour.

“I’ve had two further seizures and am lucky I didn’t break my neck. Really f**king lucky. Thanks for baring [sic] with me.”

The 35-year-old also thanked the NHS for the emergency medical help, writing: “Most importantly, thank you to our NHS, heroes amongst men (and women).”

In addition to the planned performance in Cardiff on Tuesday, Professor Green was scheduled to perform upcoming shows in Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Brighton, and Matlock.

A spokesperson for the singer said: "Due to a serious neck injury, Professor Green has been forced to cancel his February 2019 tour."

According to the spokesperson, all tickets for the tour will be refunded at the point of purchase.
