An enterprising woman refurbished her kitchen for a tiny fraction of the £650 she was quoted from professional decorators.
For just £27 Charlotte Taylor gave her tired wooden cupboards and dark worktops a makeover, drawing praise from thousands of "amazed" social media users.
After moving into her house a few weeks ago Charlotte was given quotes of around £650 to have the cupboards re-sprayed and kitchen counters covered, reports the Mirror.
Instead, she bought a tin of paint from the Ronseal garden range for £12 and got to work turning her wooden kitchen cabinets into a light shade of grey.
She also bought three rolls of sticky fablon from Wilko, costing £5 for a two metre long roll, which was enough to cover the worktops and splashback on the walls.
Adding her own pink and grey accessories from her previous kitchen, the DIY job proved to be so successful she now has plans to change the blinds and floor as well.
Charlotte posted pictures of the incredible before and after transformation to the We Love Mrs Hinch group on Facebook, where more than 5,000 people liked the post, as reported by the Metro.
She wrote: "Just wanted to share my kitchen makeover. I only moved into this property two weeks ago and hated the kitchen.
"I was quoted £650 to have the cupboards resprayed and worktops covered so I decided to do it myself.
"£12 for the paint, £15 for the fablon, and these are the results. Absolutely over the moon. Just another blind to go up and the floor to be done."
Other members of the group heaped praise on her efforts, as one said: "Wow, can’t believe it’s the same kitchen. Fantastic, looks amazing."
Another replied: "Amazing lovely. You should be so proud of yourself. Loving the pink accessories."
