An American champion rock climber survived a horror fall while she scaled Yosemite's 3,000ft peak El Capitan.
Emily Harrington posted pictures of her injuries on Instagram after she plummeted down the face of the rock in the California national park.
The 33-year-old has won multiple championships for her climbing and has El Capitan scaled before.
In a post on her social media page, Ms Harrington said: “I had an accident yesterday on El Cap. I’m banged up but gonna be ok thankfully.
“Not much to say except I took a bad fall and pin balled a bit then somehow hit the rope w[ith] my neck.”
Ms Harrington added that boyfriend and fellow climber Adrian Ballinger, as well as pioneering scaler Alex Honnold, helped after the fall - alongside Yosemite Search and Rescue.
She added: “Thanks everyone who sent kind messages and thoughts - feeling so supported and loved.”
Ms Harrington has previously called the rockface “a big scary hairless cat”.
She has free-climbed El Capitan before - meaning she went from bottom to top without using any ropes.
She has also climbed Mount Everest in Nepal.
