TV filming at Maryhill Tesco: Production village appears with filming for mystery series underway

Glasgow has become hot property on the filming circuit with tv dramas being shot at every turn.

And it seems that Maryhill could be becoming the LA of Scotland with another mystery production popping up in the area.

Photographer Daniel McAvoy snapped a picture of a production village that appeared near Maryhill Tesco on Monday night.

Part of the supermarket car park has been overrun by trailers and judging the amount of them, we think it could be quite a sizable production.

We've been told that the filming will be for a TV series but that the identity of which is being kept under wraps.

The new production comes after we reported that Channel 4 prison-set drama Screw will begin filming in the city in the coming weeks.

Maryhill was also used for BBC series Guilt, which shot for three days earlier this year.

Before that, the six-part series Annika was filmed in various locations across the city throughout February and March.

The series is adapted from the successful Radio 4 drama and is based on brutal murders that wash up in the waterways of Scotland.

So many productions we can barely keep up!
