Producers of Hollywood blockbuster Tetris offering chance to work on Glasgow set

The producers of new Hollywood blockbuster Tetris, starring Rocketman's Taron Egerton, are offering the chance to work on the set as filming gets underway in Glasgow.

Glasgow Live revealed on Friday that the cameras had already started rolling in the Trongate area for the flick, which chronicles the Cold War legal skirmishes over the ownership of the iconic game.

Falling Blocs: Tetris Movie is being produced by Matthew Vaughn, who directed X-Men: First Class, Layer Cake and Kick-Ass and directed by Jon S Baird, who helmed Stan & Ollie and Filth.

There are three trainee roles up for grabs for candidates from an ethnically diverse background who live in or near Glasgow to work as part of either the production, location or units teams on the movie.

Applicants must have a genuine passion for pursuing a career in the film industry and be available to start tomorrow (December 7) until December 18 and from January 11 to February 26 next year.

Anyone interested is asked to submit a CV and covering letter by tomorrow, showing interest in Matthew Vaughn’s films and explaining why they would be interested in working on the production.
