Producers hunting for Bristol residents to star in new Channel 4 series which reunites broken families

One in five people living in Bristol are affected by estrangement, according to expets.

For those living with the trauma of not knowing their parents or speaking to their siblings, it can feel hugely challenging knowing how to take the first steps to be reunited.

But for those ready to start rebuilding bridges bosses of a new series, due to be aired on Channel 4. will offer expert guidance to participants on how to reconnect with family members.

A spokesperson for the series said: "We are looking for young people in the Bristol area, aged 17+, who want expert help to reconnect and rebuild their relationship with their Mum, Dad, Brother or Sister who they no longer speak to or they have never met."

In each episode, two family members who want help with their relationship are brought together for a unique four day process under the guidance of an experienced relationship expert.

While not every attempt will be successful, the team's expert is highly experienced in helping estranged family members and the hope is that people in the series will be helped to establish positive and lasting relationships.
