Producer Darren Star honoured at 60th Monte-Carlo TV Festival

ENCORE! © FRANCE 24

Our guest is a writer, director and producer known for creating some of the most iconic shows in TV history: "Beverly Hills 90210", "Melrose Place", "Sex and the City", "Younger" and his latest to date, "Emily in Paris". Genie Godula met Darren Star at the 60th edition of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, where he received the Nymphe d'honneur, an award honouring his incredible career.

Unlike many American stars who couldn't come to the festival due to Covid-19 restrictions, Star was able to get to Monaco because the second season of "Emily in Paris" is currently being shot in France.

He told us more about that new season, the reboot of "Sex and the City" and his passion for series.
