BHOPAL/JABALPUR: The state government told a division bench of MP high court on Thursday that district collectors of all the 52 districts of the state have affirmed in their respective reports that foodgrain procured from the farmers has been shifted to safe places and foodgrain is not lying in the open anywhere in the state.
The court in response to a PIL filed by advocate Gulab Singh had ordered that foodgrain procured by the government agencies should not be kept in the open so that it remains safe and its quality is not affected in rain.
Counsel for the state government told the division bench of Justice Prakash Shrivastava and Justice Vishal Dhagat that the court order has been complied with and all the district collectors have reported that the foodgrain has been shifted to safe places as per the directives of the court.
