ProCook, the kitchenware brand that is exploring an IPO, has opened the first of three new shops it is planning in the capital.

ProCook, a online-led firm that has seen sales surge during the pandemic as people embraced home cooking during lockdowns, has just launched a 2665 square feet flagship London store on Tottenham Court Road.

More branches are planned for the coming months.

Expansion comes in the same week it emerged Ikea is understood to have agreed a deal to take over the huge Topshop space on Oxford Street, and as more office workers returned to zone one.

Central London is trying to bounce back from plunging footfall levels during the Covid-19 crisis.

ProCook, which sells everything from saucepans to biscuit cutters, was founded over 25 years ago as a family business and today employs over 600 staff.

It is considering a number of strategic options to support expansion plans, and one route could be a London stock market listing. Peel Hunt is advising the business.
