Probe launched into sudden death of woman in Glasgow city centre

A probe has been launched after the sudden death of a woman in Glasgow city centre.

Officers from Police Scotland rushed to the scene of a premises on Renfrew Street in the city at around 3.10pm on Friday April 10 after reports a 45-year-old lost her life.

Pictures sent to The Record show a number of police and forensic officers in white suits from the nation-wide force outside the Hampton Court Guest House and Willow Hotel.

Cops say the death is currently being treated as unexplained.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services were called to a premises on Renfrew Street, Glasgow around 3.10pm on Friday, 10 following the sudden death of a 45-year-old woman.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
