Probe launched after number of shots fired at house in Crumlin

Gardai have launched a probe after a number of shots were fired at a house in Crumlin yesterday evening.

The terrifying incident took place in the Kildare Road area of the south Dublin suburb at around 8:30pm.

It's understood a number of people were in the house at the time but luckily escaped injury.

The front door of the home was damaged by the shots.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live investigations into the incident are ongoing.

He said: "Gardaí are investigating the discharging of a firearm at a house in the Kildare Road area of Crumlin that occurred on 15/01/2021 at approximately 8:30pm.

"The front door of the premises was damaged as a result of an apparent gun shot. No injuries occurred. A technical examination of the scene has taken place. Investigations are ongoing."
