Probe launched after man's body found on 'grassy area' in Coatbridge

Cops have launched an investigation after a man's body was found on a "grassy area" in a Lanarkshire town.

Officers from Police Scotland were called to Dundyvan Road in Coatbridge at around 7.40 this morning, April 26, following the grim discovery of a body.

A probe into the unexplained death has been launched by the nation-wide force.

It comes after they refused to rule out any suspicious activity surrounding the death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Daily Record: “Around 7.40am on Sunday, April 26, police received a report of man’s body being discovered on a grassy area near to Dundyvan Road, Coatbridge.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
