Probe launched after man dies in police custody at Fife station

An investigation has been launched after a man died in police custody in Fife yesterday.

The 36-year-old man died while in police custody in Kirkcaldy after being arrested on Thursday.

The news comes after reports that there had been three ambulances outside Kirkcaldy Police Station yesterday morning (Friday 19 September).

Officers from Police Scotland have launched an investigation that say they will fully co-operate with a Police Investigations and Review Commissioner probe into the death.
