Recent FEC filings on Thursday night revealed that two additional ultra-wealthy donors have made significant contributions to the pro-Trump effort in the first half of October. Preserve America, a prominent pro-Trump super PAC, raised slightly over $6 million in the latest reporting period leading up to Election Day, with $5 million originating from two prominent donors.
Elizabeth Uihlein, the spouse of Midwestern shipping and packaging magnate Dick Uihlein, who himself donated $6.5 million to another pro-Trump super PAC, Restoration PAC, on October 7, contributed $3 million to Preserve America on October 15. Additionally, Ronald Cameron, the owner and chairman of Mountaire Farms, one of the largest poultry producers in the U.S., donated $2 million to the pro-Trump super PAC on October 10.
Preserve America stands as one of the numerous pro-Trump external groups that have invested tens of millions of dollars in the campaign to reinstate the former president in the White House. The super PAC disclosed expenditures exceeding $11 million between October 1 and October 16. Furthermore, in the third quarter of the year, the super PAC received a substantial $95 million from another conservative megadonor, Miriam Adelson, the wife of the late casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, both of whom have been among the most significant contributors to conservative candidates and causes over the past decade.
