Pro golfers react to the thrilling third round of The Masters

Saturday’s third round at Augusta National Golf Club began with a large group of major champions tied atop the leaderboard, and ended with Open Champion Francesco Molinari holding a two-shot lead on the field after a bogey-free round of 66.

The threat of severe weather late on Sunday has forced The Masters to move up Sunday’s tee times to the morning, and all groups will play as threesomes off split tees. Molinari (-13) will tee off at 9:20 a.m. ET in a group with Tiger Woods (-11) and Tony Finau (-11) – but the tournament is still wide open.

Woods carded a 67 on Saturday and briefly held a share of the lead, but to win his fifth green jacket, Woods will have to do something he’s never done before. In his previous 14 major wins, Woods has held at least a share of the 54-hole lead, but he’s never come from behind on Sunday to win a major.

Golfers from the PGA Tour and European Tour were glued to their TVs on Saturday.
