Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson may have been subjected to 62 sacks, the most in the NFL, in 2018, but he was able to thrive under pressure.
According to analytics from Pro Football Focus, the second-year signal caller was the second-best in the league when facing pressure in 2018.
Part of why Watson was able to achieve such a high passer rating despite being under pressure was his unique ability to keep plays alive despite being surrounded by pass-rushers.
The Pro Bowl quarterback completed 345 passes on 505 attempts for 4,165 yards, 26 touchdowns, nine interceptions, and posted a 103.1 passer rating, the best single-season passer rating in Texans history.
