Pro Football Focus: Julio Jones led all wide receivers in fantasy football points per snap

Heading into the eighth game of the 2018 season, Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones still had not caught a single touchdown pass. Some people who live on Twitter were openly calling him washed and overrated. Real fans of course always knew Jones’ value was still phenomenal. Another group of people you could have asked is Julio’s fantasy football owners, who’d tell you that he remains as consistent and productive as any wide receiver in the NFL today.

According to Pro Football Focus, Jones led all wide receivers this past year by scoring 0.4 fantasy points per snap, which is apparently a thing.

Jones rallied and finished the year with eight touchdowns. He also led the league in receiving yards and yards per route run.

After failing to reach a long-term deal with Grady Jarrett and applying the franchise tag, the Falcons now find themselves in a tight salary cap situation this offseason. Re-working No. 11’s contract is one move that will help. The team has also already begun extension talks with their top defensive player, middle linebacker Deion Jones.
