Cordarrelle Patterson missed practice for the second day in a row with a knee injury but wouldn’t rule out playing against the Jaguars.
“I know my body. Each and every day, I’m getting better,” he said. “So Sunday we’ll see. So I’m just day-by-day now.”
After Patterson was hurt in the first half against the Vikings, the Bears pulled him from offensive duties. He continued to return kicks. Asked why, Patterson joked that reporters should lobby for him to play more on offense.
One of the best kick returners in NFL history, Patterson was named to his fourth Pro Bowl this week. His kick return for a touchdown this year put him in a three-way tie for most all-time, with eight.
A receiver for most of his career, Patterson has served as a backup running back to David Montgomery this season. He has 60 carries for 214 yards.
