CHICAGO _ White Sox outfielder Leury Garcia raced back, attempting to track down Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s long fly to center.
Garcia jumped as he neared the wall. The ball hit his glove and then popped out and over the fence for a two-run homer. Garcia slapped at the wall with his hand in frustration after nearly coming up with the catch.
It was one of those nights for the Sox.

Justin Smoak, Danny Jansen and Guerrero homered off of Sox starter Ivan Nova, who allowed eight earned runs and eight hits in three-plus innings.
The right-hander had strung together consecutive strong starts entering Friday, winning his previous two outings. He gave up one run on five hits in six innings against the Jays on Saturday in Toronto and allowed one earned run in seven innings against the Indians on May 6 in Cleveland.
The Blue Jays got to Nova early Friday with Smoak's solo homer in the first. Jansen hit his two-run homer in the second.
Guerrero's two-run homer in the fourth extended the Jays' lead to 9-2. It was the prize prospect's third homer of the season.
The Blue Jays scored at least one run in each of the first five innings. The only bad news for the Jays came in the fourth, when starter Aaron Sanchez had to leave the game because of a blister on his right middle finger.
Yoan Moncada and Tim Anderson both had two hits for the Sox.
