Priyanka Chopra’s Hollywood debut Baywatch is only two weeks away from releasing in India, but the actor has revealed that she has already seen the movie.
In an Interview with Zoom, Priyanka said that she has seen the action-comedy, a reboot of the hugely popular TV show from the ‘90s, and thought that it was “freaking amazing”.

She plays the villainous Victoria Leeds in the film, a business magnate (and also a drug runner?) who challenges the security of the beach. Cue Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron’s team of lifeguards, who jump in to protect their territory.
Speaking about the tone of the film, Priyanka said, “It’s a massive one. It’ll be a big summer blockbuster and it’s a good film. I’ve seen it. It’s just really freaking funny. It’s so funny. But please remember it’s rated R film. I don’t know what the certification in India will be, I’m presuming it’ll still be ‘A’. But that’s the vibe of the film and that’s the world of the film. It’s a young movie, it’s about young people, doing young things.”
And as far as her character goes, she said: “I guess my character is completely unnatural to the film, and that’s the beauty of her. She doesn’t take off her shoes to go on the beach also. She doesn’t like sand. She only wears couture. So there’s this one scene in the film, it’s the funniest thing. When she has to get off the jeep, my character, somebody puts a stool in front of her so she can stand on it, because she’s that much of a diva.”
Baywatch is scheduled for a June 2 release and also stars Kelly Rohrbach, Alexandra Daddario and Jon Bass.
