Priyanka Chopra brought a touch of glamour to The Dorchester as she celebrated the latest Johnnie Walker Blue Label collaboration with Indian couturier Rahul Mishra.
The actress, producer, and brand ambassador joined guests including Anoushka Shankar, Priya Kansara and Zara Martin for the launch of the limited-edition bottle designed by Mishra.
Wearing a saree-inspired, one-shoulder gown in deep ruby red from Rahul Mishra Couture, Chopra’s festive look took 14 artisans more than 2,700 hours to craft at the designer’s Noida atelier.
Aside from the screen star’s glamour, guests enjoyed bespoke cocktails such as the Mango Highball and Little Star — a blend of Blue Label, elderflower, and champagne — alongside Indian-inspired small plates from The Dorchester’s chefs, including spiced lamb tartlets and saffron-coconut bites.
The event also featured a fusion dance performance by Usha Jey, blending Bharatanatyam with contemporary choreography, and music from Gracie T and DJ Almass Badat, who lead the UK’s South Asian music scene.
Earlier in the evening, Chopra joined Mishra for an intimate conversation moderated by broadcaster and culture writer Simran Randhawa.
The discussion explored the intersection of tradition and innovation in modern Indian luxury and how storytelling through design can celebrate craftsmanship on a global stage.
There the star wore another Mishra look, this time a strapless black evening gown.
Reflecting on the evening, Chopra said: “There’s something incredibly exciting about the Indian festive season - it’s a season of warmth, joy and community.
“Celebrating Rahul’s vision with Johnnie Walker Blue Label felt like a beautiful convergence of craft and culture and you could feel it in the room as a shared experience.
“Rahul’s work has always gone beyond fashion; it’s an expression of culture and emotion. Celebrating that here in London, surrounded by people who appreciate the beauty of creation, made the night very special.”
The celebration coincided with the countdown to Diwali on October 20.
It signifies the return of Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshman after defeating the demon king Ravana. It is a chance to celebrate light over darkness and good over evil.
The annual Diwali event at Trafalgar Square remains an unmissable centrepiece in the city with its lineup of comedy, music, dance, and displays among other events ongoing in the city.
