California private investigator Steve Fischer has raised doubts about the official timeline of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas‘ (Rivas Hernandez’s) death.
If Fischer’s assessment is correct, the disturbing imagery in singer D4vd’s February 2025 music video One More Dance, which shows the singer placing a body in the trunk of a car, could potentially depict the aftermath of Rivas Hernandez’s killing.
Authorities found Rivas Hernandez dead on September 8, 2025, inside the trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd in Los Angeles. Her body was in an advanced state of decomposition, suggesting she had been deceased for an extended period before discovery.
Authorities seized the vehicle and launched a homicide investigation, though no charges have been filed. The circumstances surrounding how long her body had been in the car and her connection to the singer remain uncertain.

Now, Fischer has cast significant skepticism on reports from authorities regarding how long Rivas Hernandez’s body was in D4vd’s Tesla. Speaking with neighbors in Los Angeles, he discovered the car had been parked in its final location for over a month before being towed, contradicting the three-day abandonment rule often cited in L.A. County.
Fischer explained, “Anyone who lives here knows you can park on the street in the hills, and there is no way they are towing it after just three days. Usually, it takes missing a couple of weekly trash pickup days before towing happens.”
Authorities have confirmed that Rivas Hernandez’s body was in a very advanced state of decomposition. Fischer notes that being sealed in a trunk slows decomposition in some ways but does not prevent the process entirely, suggesting the Tesla could have been moved multiple times over several weeks before the smell became noticeable.
Fischer wrote in his post, “We’ve all learned we’re not dealing with criminal masterminds here. I think they could have even been driving that car around with her in it a few months ago and actually thought an air freshener hanging from the mirror would help. You don’t often see someone driving a $106,000 Tesla Model X with a Christmas tree air freshener hanging from the mirror, except for D4vd ‘s Tesla Model X.”

Meanwhile, D4vd’s music video One More Dance, released in February 2025, includes imagery of a figure being placed into a car trunk, eerily similar to the circumstances in which Rivas Hernandez was found. If Fischer’s revised timeline is accurate, the video’s content could reflect real events involving Rivas Hernandez. (In the video, the body is D4vd, but a young woman resembling Rivas Hernandez is pictured elsewhere.)
The Los Angeles Police Department continues to investigate Rivas Hernandez’s death as a homicide. Officers raided D4vd’s Hollywood Hills home, seizing multiple items for evidence, but no charges have been filed. As the investigation continues, D4vd announced the cancellation of his tour, citing personal reasons amid the growing controversy.
