Private funeral to be held for tragic Dublin man Glen Osbourne killed in stabbing

A private funeral will be held for Glen 'Ossie' Osbourne, a young dad-to-be who was killed in a stabbing incident in Dublin.

Glen, 20, died after he was stabbed in a car park outside Ballybough House on Dublin's north side on April 15.

The young man from Taaffe's Place in the city, had just found out he was expecting his first child, a baby boy, in a couple of months.

A 16-year-old boy appeared in court last Friday charged with Glen's murder.

A death notice on RIP reads: "Suddenly, beloved son of the late Mick, sadly missed by his mother Rose, fiancée Lauren, family and a wide circle of friends."

A private funeral will be held for Glen with immediate family in attendance, due to Government advice and HSE guidelines regarding public gatherings.

The notice adds: "Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to current restrictions cannot or feel unable to do so, please feel free to leave a message in the Condolence Book at the bottom of this page or send on condolences by traditional manner."

Mourners left tributes to the young man online, with one reading: "Still can’t believe we are not going to see you around.

Glen Osbourne (RIP.ie)

"Sleep tight Glen and watch over your mam, fiancée and baby boy. You will be truly missed xxx R.I.P Glen."

Another reads: "May you get the best bed in heaven RIP Glen thoughts and prayers are with your family at this sad time."
