A private funeral will be held for a Cork man who died in a tragic farming accident over the weekend.
John Reynolds, 74, of the Rising Sun pub, passed away after he was injured by a bull while tending to livestock at a farm in Ballinhassig on Saturday, May 9.
The dad of four was pronounced dead shortly after 7pm at Cork University Hospital.
The incident is being treated as a tragic accident, and the Health and Safety Authority is working with Gardai to investigate the death.
A death notice on RIP.ie reads:"John, dearly loved husband and best friend of Margaret (nee McCarthy), and loving and cherished father of Antoinette, Kieran, Linda and Loretta.

"Sadly missed by his loving family, daughter-in-law Grettie, sons-in-law Hugh, Kevin and Jonathan, dearly loved and adored 15 grandchildren, sisters Nora, Pauline and Ann, brother Neilus, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends."
A private funeral will be held for John in accordance with Government and HSE guidelines.
A Memorial Mass will take place at a later date and condolences can be left on the condolence link at RIP.ie.
John's funeral cortege will pass the Rising Sun pub at approximately 11.30am on Tuesday morning and will be proceed to Ballyheada Cross.
The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed on Ballinhassig Parish Facebook page on Tuesday at 12 noon and John's family appealed for the local community to join with them online or on the roadside.
Messages of condolence flooded in online, with one person writing: "Sincere condolences to Margaret and all the Reynolds family. My prayers and thoughts are with you all at this sad time."
Another added: "Our deepest sympathy to Margaret and family on your tragic loss .John was a sincere gentleman R.I.P".
Riverstick Community Centre also paid tribute, writing on their Facebook page: "Riverstick Community Association would sincerely like to express their deepest condolences to the family and friends of John Reynolds, Rising Sun, Ballinhassig, on their very sad loss. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a Anam."
