A prisoner has reportedly been accused of sexually assaulting his own daughter while she visited him in jail.
The inmate at Barlinnie prison allegedly groped and molested the girl, aged nine, over a two-month period in 2015.
The incidents reportedly took place on apparently supervised visits, in the family area of the Glasgow prison where wardens would have been.
The alarm was raised after staff noticed inappropriate behaviour on CCTV footage and informed police.
The man accused, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is expected to stand trial this month.
A source told the Daily Record: “While in Barlinnie, he was allowed to have frequent visits by his family, including his own daughter who is aged about 10-ish and is in primary school.”
The accused was due to be released on parole in December.
It is not known what he was initially imprisoned for.
The Scottish Prison Service has been contacted for comment.
