Prisoner dies at Barlinnie prison in Glasgow

A prisoner has died at HMP Barlinnie in Glasgow .

The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) has confirmed  on Monday that Scott Hannah, 31, who was convicted at Glasgow Sheriff Court in June 2019, passed away.

A statement on the SPS website reads: "Scott Hannah, 31, a prisoner at HMP Barlinnie has died.

"He was convicted at Glasgow Sheriff Court on 11 June 2019.

" Police Scotland have been advised and the matter reported to the Procurator Fiscal. A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course."
