A prisoner was treated by paramedics after a fire broke out in their cell at a Scots jail.
Emergency services were called to HMYOI Polmont at around 8:05pm last night.
At one point four fire engines and an ambulance were at the scene, but the blaze was extinguished by prison officers before they arrived.
The youngster was given oxygen for smoke inhalation.
Women from HMP & YOI Cornton Vale in Stirling are also currently being housed at Polmont.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Prison Service said: "A small cell fired occurred at HMPYOI Polmont which was extinguished by staff.
"No staff or prisoners were injured, one Young Person received treatment for smoke inhalation."
