The Printworks has been evacuated tonight after a sprinkler was set off in the disabled toilets of the cinema within the complex.
Friday night revellers took to social media to report that they had been evacuated from the building, including its bars, restaurants and cinema complex.
A large crowd has gathered on the streets outside the venue, while six fire engines were present.

However the M.E.N understands that the sprinkler controlled the incident, and there is no wider danger to the public on what has been a distressing day for the city centre after five people were stabbed at the Arndale Centre.
Greater Manchester Police issued a brief statement this evening.
It read: "An evacuation of the cinema at the Printworks that took place earlier tonight is due to a false activation of a sprinkler.
"There is no cause for concern or reason to be alarmed."
