The principals elect for this year’s Gatehouse Riding of the Marches have been announced.
Gregor Irvine has been chosen as Fleet Lad elect with Kirsty Johnstone Fleet Lass elect.
Gregor regularly attends many local rideouts and gala days, having supported Gatehouse and many other local towns for a number of years. He has also been a courier in Dumfries.
He is an HGV driver and will be accompanied by his horse Lucy in a new partnership which is going to keep Gregor on his toes this year.
Kirsty is a self-employed accounts assistant who has supported Gatehouse rideouts and activities numerous times in the past. She also competes in various equine activities across the region and is known to enjoy turnout competition occasionally. Kirsty will be partnered by her own pony Lucy who is very versatile.
Gatehouse Riding of the Marches is due to take place on August 2.
